so sorry that two of the pics aren't rotated-im not really good with thiskind of thing but hopefully i'll get better!!! any tips would be appreciated!!

ps- i'm going out tonight to see my cousin's band playing-a rare night out as i work every saturday night!!!
i'll get a photo of my outfit!! its in a student pub by the uni so quirky and casual it will be!!!

birthday cakes!!!

me and my brother's girlfriend making my birthday cake last year-1st attempt at decorating!
its plain but tasted yummy!!!

So it seems most of my family members have birthdays around this time of year!! i call it the cake season because as part of their presents i always make them their favorite cake!! the adults usually like grown up type cakes-you know like carrot cake (my boyfriend) date and walnut cake (my dad) cherry and almond cake (my mum and grams) you get the point!!!

so my favorite type of cake making is the kids so i thought I'd share with you last years cakes-i don't think i took a pic of them all and I'm still practicing so they're not perfect but here they are...

these two were my son Jake's on his 3rd birthday-the fish one was for his playgroup which is called little fish. the train one was for his actual party!! this year he wants Ben 10 but I'll try and talk him out of that!!!!

so here the cake season begins!! i didn't do a cake for my birthday back in October because i worked three night shifts leading up to it and didn't have the usual house party-my boyfriend's got his 30th in December so we'll make up for it then!!!!

the body shop

i went for a makeover at the body shop recently and splashed out on some of their products which i absolutely love. i usually just put their moroccan rose perfume on my christmas list and thats it-i love vintage rose smells and this is lovely.

i bought some make up which is gorgeous-the foundation was so much paler then what i would normally go for but it look so nice with a bit of bronzer and blusher/rouge (my desert island beauty essential-without rouge i'm naked!!)i bought their mascara aswell which is nice!
i also discovered their perfume called dreams unlimited. i was given a free sample of the body lotion and its my current favorite-i recommend you having a sniff!!
they also had a perfume balm which looks like a lip balm but its solid perfume-however they only had that in their other fragrance called love etc-its £5 but a handbag essential!!i hope they bring it out in the other smells!!!
is anyone else a fan of the body shop, i'd love to know what others recommend!!!
